Announcing Piano Performance Day 2023
I am pleased to inform you that there will be a student performance event on the afternoon of Sunday, 9 July 2023. This occasion will be open to adult and under-18 students, including a private session for adults, a public recital for under-18 students, and a teacher recital. The schedule for the afternoon is below:
13:00 | Adult piano student private showcase
A chance for adult pianists to share what they have been practising at home with each other. Meetings of this kind that took place before the pandemic were typically a small group of no more than six, with a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.
14:00 | Under-18 piano student recital concert
A short recital from each under-18 pianist, showcasing their current and best work this academic year. The concert will conclude with a 10-minute performance of Valse de l'opéra Faust pour le piano by Franz Liszt, performed by Chris. Light refreshments will be available afterwards.
15:00 | Post-concert amble
Students who wish to may accompany Chris, Katie and Milo for a walk around Bullocks Close, lasting approximately 45 minutes.
The concert will take place at a private venue on Jobsons Lane in Gospel Green, just outside of Petworth. There is parking available on-site. Attendance at this event is free for all current students.
Students who have not already done so must have returned a complete Photo Release Form before the concert if they wish to participate, due to the presence of a professional photographer.
